Helen Roberts Obituary

Helen Roberts, 95, of Paoli, passed away October 13, 2018 at IU Health Paoli Hospital. She was born November 15, 1922 in Montgomery, Alabama to parents, James Milton & Esther Helen Wakeland. She married John Wilson Roberts in 1963 and he precedes her in death. She was co-owner of Paoli Variety Store and employed at Cornwell's both formerly of Paoli. She was a member of Paoli United Methodist Church.

She is survived by: 4 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews & cousins. She is preceded in death by: parents, husband, son- Lowell Wayne McMichens; daughter- Linda Diane McMichens Braden; & brothers- Ray Milton & JB Wakeland.

Funeral will be 11am Tuesday, October 16 at McAdams Mortuary. Visitation will be from 4-8pm Monday, October 15 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers please send memorial contributions to Orange County Humane Society or Orange County Clothe a Child.
