Andrew Ryan Tuell

Andrew Ryan Tuell, age 49, of Lanesville, passed away on December 21, 2025, at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. Born on July 21, 1976, in Paoli, he was the son of Randall Tuell and Martha Jean (Smelser) Tuell. Andrew was a cherished husband to his wife, Ginger (Kenney) Tuell, whom he married on April 6, 2023.

Andrew was a man of quiet authenticity—genuine, thoughtful, and unafraid to be himself. He had a passion for building and playing guitars and he enjoyed attending concerts. Music was both a craft and a refuge for him.

Professionally, Andrew dedicated his life to helping others. He was employed at the VA Hospital as a mental health counselor in the substance abuse program, where his compassion, patience, and integrity left a lasting impact on countless lives. His work was not just a career, but a calling, and he was well respected by those around him. 

He was preceded in death by his step-father, Donald Hill; maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Mildred Smelser, and his paternal grandparents, Russell and Betty Tuell.

Andrew is survived by his wife, Ginger Tuell of Lanesville; his father, Randall Tuell of Paoli; his mother, Martha Jean Hill of Paoli; his brothers, Trevis Tuell (Amy) and Robby Tuell (Stefani), both of Paoli; his niece, Victoria Tuell of Paoli; and his nephews, Joe Tuell (Olivia) of Shelbyville and Jacob Tuell of Speedway.

Visitation will be on Saturday, December 27th, from 10 AM to 1 PM at McAdams Mortuary, with the funeral service following at 1 PM. Pastor Pete Baumgartle will officiate. Cremation will follow. For condolences, visit mcadamsmortuary.com
