Douglas Ray Knight

Douglas Ray Knight, age 66, of Paoli, passed away September 30, 2026, at IU Health Bloomington Hospital. He was born August 19, 1960, to Donna Minton Atchley and Ray Francis Knight. He married Teresa Sneed on May 28, 1988.

Douglas worked in construction for Rogers Group. He enjoyed collecting knives, coins, and die-cast cars and loved rock ’n’ roll music.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Knight of Paoli; his mother, Donna Atchley (Mike) of Orleans; his children, Richard Knight (Lisa), Chelsea Truelove (Hollis), and Aiden Knight (Cailah Nikkila); his grandchildren, Kimana Knight, Chevy Knight, and Hailee Truelove; his siblings, David Knight (Kathy), Rhonda Dillard (Johnny), Dina Smitson (Tracy), Missie Cambron (Dean), Bobby Atchley, and Amanda Martin; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Knight; his stepmother, Joanie Knight; his daughter, Sarah Marie; and his granddaughter, Haizel Truelove.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, October 5, 2026, at McAdams Mortuary. Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m., with Bro. Craig Chestnut officiating. Burial will be in Ames Chapel Cemetery. For Condolences visit mcadamsmortuary.com
