Edgar Eldon Duke, 74, of Marengo, passed away on April 16, 2024, at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Born on September 28, 1949, in Marengo to Edgar Charles and Alma (Smith) Duke, Edgar lived a life marked by service and dedication. He served his country as a US Air Force Veteran and he continued his commitment to service as a member of the Kentucky National Guard. Edgar retired from Stone Belt Trucking Company of Shoals.
He is survived by his daughter, Denise Duke of French Lick, and son, Eldon E. Duke (Amy) of Rota, Spain, sister, Darlene Horsley of Corydon, grandchildren- Tyler, Kaiden, Roman, and Elowyn, all of Rota, Spain.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers Gaylord, Glenn, and Anthony Duke.
Services to honor Edgar's life will be held on Monday, April 22, at 6 PM at McAdams Mortuary, with Bro. Harvey McAdams officiating. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects from 4 PM until 6 PM at the funeral home on Monday. Cremation will follow the service.
