Ethel "Faye" Cravens

Ethel "Faye" Cravens, 82, of Marengo, Indiana, died April 8, 2026, at her home with her family around her.

She was born February 13, 1944, in Hagerstown, Indiana. On February 23, 1981, she married Melvin Cravens, and he survives.

Faye worked at a factory and later as a police dispatcher. Most of her working years were spent caring for children at local daycares. She was also a homemaker and a mother. She liked to shop and was always giving to others.

Survivors include her husband, Melvin Cravens of Marengo; five children: Beth Jones of Columbia, South Carolina, Brenda Mitchell, Linda Hughett, and Jon Johnson, all of Knightstown, and Ronda DeWeese of Scottsburg; 15 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and a great-grandson, Aidan Shane Jones.

Visitation will be Monday, April 13, 2026, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at McAdams Mortuary. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM with Bro Paul Richard Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in Harned Chapel Cemetery.
