Ethel Louise Lankford

Ethel Louise Lankford, age 93, of Paoli, passed away September 1, 2025 at her home. She was born January 20, 1932 in West Baden, to Elvet & Anna J. (Charles) Runyon. On November 11, 1950 she married Roger Lankford who preceded her in death on May 8, 2022. She was a homemaker and member of Prospect Church of Christ of West Baden & she was a 1950 graduate of West Baden High School. Ethel enjoyed farming and especially took pride in inspecting the cattle she and Roger raised. 

Survivors include: 

Daughter - Joy Ann Grimes of Paoli

Sons - Steven Lankford (Shannin) of Spencer, Roger David Lankford of Paoli & Van Lankford of Paoli

7 Grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. 

Ethel is preceded in death by: brothers Robert Charles and Clarence Runyon.

Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Friday, September 5 at McAdams Mortuary. The funeral will be 1 pm Saturday, September 6, at the funeral home. Bro. Harvey McAdams will officiate. Burial will be at Paoli Community Cemetery. For condolences, visit mcadamsmortuary.com.
