Frances M. Lewis

Frances M. Lewis, age 83, of Paoli, passed away August 19, 2026, at her daughter’s home in Paoli. She was born September 30, 1942, in Heltonville, Indiana, to parents Willie Stillions and Minnie (Mark) Stillions. She married Tommy R. Lewis on June 3, 1960, and he preceded her in death on May 29, 2021.

Frances was a former employee of Orange County Bank and the floral department of Jay-C Store, formerly of Paoli. She enjoyed gardening, birdwatching and hummingbirds.

Survivors include her daughter, Terry Peabody and husband Loyd of Paoli; son, Christopher Lewis and wife Melissa of Bedford; grandchildren, Hannah Lewis of Bedford, Thomas Lewis and wife Molly of Columbus, GA, and Kristen Beadles and husband David of Rolla, MO; and great-grandchildren, Grace, Bowen, Ada, Carli, Gabriel, and Matthew.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tommy R. Lewis; and brother, Richard Stillions.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, August 29, at 11:00 a.m. at Paoli Community Cemetery. Burial will follow at Paoli Community Cemetery.
