Gary Lynn Lewis, 76, of Paoli, passed away September 7, 2026, at Springs Valley Meadows in French Lick. He was born August 1, 1950, in Salem to Gerald and Virginia (Kerby) Lewis. Gary married Dorothy Lewis on January 30, 1970. She preceded him in death on April 20, 2025.

Gary was a United States Army veteran who served during the Vietnam War. He worked as a mechanic for most of his life, including 15 years with Sternberg in Jasper. He later owned and operated Gary’s Service Center in Paoli. He was also a member of the American Legion.

Survivors include his daughter, Leigh Ann Frick (Brandon) of Huntingburg; sister, Sharon Trouten of French Lick; and grandchildren, Parker Frick and Claire Frick, both of Huntingburg.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dorothy Lewis; and brother, Ronald Lewis.

Visitation will be Friday, September 11, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at McAdams Mortuary. The funeral will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Brother Harvey McAdams will officiate. Burial will be in Ames Chapel Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by the Orleans American Legion.
