Harold Rex "Dutch" Drabing

Harold Rex "Dutch" Drabing, 90, of French Lick, passed away on December 2, 2024, at IU Health Paoli Hospital. He was born on April 19, 1934, in French Lick to William and Ruby (Lessig) Drabing. He married Frances Eastridge on June 25, 1961. Harold was a graduate of French Lick High School, class of 1952. He was formerly a butcher in a local grocery store and worked at United States Gypsum Corp. in Shoals for 29 1/2 years. After retiring, he was a security guard at the French Lick Springs Resort. Harold was a member of the Springs Valley Wesleyan Church and French Lick/West Baden Lions Club and served as director. For many years, he was an umpire for the community baseball and softball games. Harold also served as co-marshall of the Pumpkin Festival in 1999. His hobbies were fishing and golfing where he had two holes in one.

Sons: Tim Drabing (Joy) of French Lick, Bill Drabing (Jennifer) of Brighton, MI, & Dan Drabing (Susan) of Troy, IL

8 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by his brothers - John, Elza, & Glen Drabing, sisters - Marie Miller & Mary Porterfield

The visitation for Harold Rex Drabing will be on Friday, December 6, 2024 from 4 - 7 pm at Springs Valley Wesleyan Church. The Funeral will follow on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 11 am at the church. Bro. John Moffatt will officiate. Burial will be at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery in French Lick.
