Harvey N. Pait

Harvey N. Pait, 91, passed peacefully at his son’s home on September 24, 2025, surrounded by family. Born April 21, 1934, in Clarksville, Harvey was the son of Harvey A. and Jane R. (Martin) Pait.

On June 26, 1964, he married the love of his life, Donnieta (Hayes) Pait. Their marriage of nearly 39 years was filled with laughter, family, and countless adventures on “the farm” until her passing in 2002.

A proud veteran of the United States Army, Harvey carried his sense of duty into civilian life, retiring from General Electric and later continuing his commitment to community service through his work with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.

Harvey had a passion for the open road, especially on two wheels. As a longtime cyclist and member of the Blue Knights Motorcycle Club, he built friendships and found joy in the freedom of riding. He was also a dedicated member of Valeene Christian Church and a proud 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge in Utica, Indiana.

Family was at the center of Harvey’s world. He leaves behind a son, Harvey “Edward” Pait (Jenifer) of Louisville, KY; daughters, Patricia Nobles of Hardinsburg and Sheryl Webster (Floyd) of Russellville, KY; along with grandchildren Heather Reynolds (David), Misty Scruggs (Nick), Danielle Terhune (Evan), Beth Pait, Tiffany Waller (Joshua), Jeremy Davenport, Michael Peters (Michelle), Ashlee Peters, Wesley Peters, Tara Jarvis (Steve), Kelley Bland (Jared), and Bradley Monroe; and 18 great-grandchildren who brought him endless pride and joy.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Donnieta, daughter Donna Monroe, and sisters Clara Lyttle, Deloris Trent, Pearl Williams, and Martha Davidson.

Harvey will be remembered for his unwavering strength, his quiet sense of humor, and the way he never met a stranger. He was a man who valued loyalty, faith, and family—and his legacy lives on in all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 29, 2025, from 5–7 p.m. at McAdams Mortuary in Paoli, IN. The funeral service will take place on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at 1 p.m. at Valeene Christian Church, Marengo, IN with visitation beginning at 11 a.m. until the time of the service. He will be laid to rest in the Valeene Christian Church Cemetery.
