Hazel Anna Elaine Wellman

Hazel Anna Elaine Wellman was delivered into the loving arms of her family on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at 10:53 p.m. at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.

She is survived by her parents, Derick Lee Wellman and Savanna Jon Ballard both of Paoli; maternal grandparents, Jarvis Ballard of Elkhart and Shanna Marsh of Indianapolis; paternal grandmother, Megan Cook of Bedford; paternal grandparents, Toby and Sara Wellman of Paoli; maternal great-grandparents, Anna Dennis, Sam Dennis, and Deborah Rodell; paternal great-grandfather, Brian Compton; and several loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Hazel was preceded in death by her maternal great-grandfather, Ray Rodell, and her paternal great-grandparents, Richard and Janet Wellman.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a time of remembrance on Thursday, July 23, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McAdams Mortuary.

The family requests that those attending wear bright colors as they celebrate Hazel’s life.
