James L. Mosson

James L. Mosson, age 86, of Paoli, passed away on May 24, 2024, at the Paoli Health & Living Community. He was born on April 21, 1938, in French Lick to parents James Merle and Clara Lois (McPherson) Mosson.

James married Shirley Wells in 1956, and she preceded him in death in 2002. In 2008 He married Barbara Martin, who survives him.

James was retired from Benham Sawmill of Orleans. 

He is survived by his wife, Barbara of Paoli; stepchildren Steven McIntosh of Marengo and Holly Troncin of Palmyra; four step-grandchildren; and brothers- John Mosson (Flora) of French Lick and Paul Mosson (Judy) of Orleans. He is also survived by loved ones Sharon Smelser and Marcus Hutsler of Paoli.

James was preceded in death by his first wife, his parents, sons James Mosson and Timothy Dean Mosson, one sister Katherine Ludwig, and a brother William Mosson.

Services will be held on Tuesday, May 28 at McAdams Mortuary. Friends may call from 10 AM until 2 PM, with the funeral service following at 2 PM, officiated by Bro. George Key. Burial will be at Mount Gilead Cemetery. For condolences, please visit mcadamsmortuary.com.
