Janet Sue Richardson

Janet Sue Richardson, age 80, of Marengo, passed away on August 15, 2025 at Todd Dickey Nursing Home in Leavenworth. She was born on December 29, 1944, in Ramsey, to Paul Mitchell and Gladys (Chanley) Jones.

On July 28, 1961, Janet married the love of her life, Bob Richardson. She worked as a retail clerk at Miller’s Apparel, formerly of Marengo. Janet was a member of Marengo Christian Church for over 60 years. She found joy in simple moments—cooking and spending time with her grandchildren. 

Survivors include her husband, Bob Richardson of Milltown; daughter, Jayne Riddle (Mike) of Taswell; brothers, Doug Jones (Ruby) of Lafayette, Darrell Jones (Margie) of Paoli, & Donnie Jones (Susan) of Greenwood; grandchildren, Brandin Richardson, Ciera Dixon (Adam), Chandler Poe, Jeremy Riddle (April), Stacy Standish (Ryne); great grandchildren, River, Lily, Trinity, Liam, Carson, Brady, Jackson, & Sylvia.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents; son, Cary Richardson; and sisters, Joyce Miller & Diane Jones

Cremation was chosen with a graveside service to be held on Monday, August 25, 2025 at 11am at Union Chapel Cemetery in Milltown, IN. For condolences, visit mcadamsmortuary.com
