Jerry Lee Bird

Jerry Lee Bird, 76, of Paoli, passed away October 20, 2021 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital. He was born July 24, 1945 in French Lick, to Beatrice June Bird. He married Betty E. Condra  on May 11, 1969. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran & Purple Heart Recipient. Jerry was retired Assistant Chief of Police at the Naval Activity Support Police Department at Crane for over 33 years. He also worked at Walmart, and French Lick Casino. He was a member of Syria Christian Church, Paoli VFW, Paoli Senior Citizens, Jaycees formally of Paoli, and the French Lick American Legion.

Survivors include:

Son - Gregory "Max" Bird (Anita) of Springville

2 Sisters - Linda Belonga & Carolyn Corrie  (Skip) all of Michigan

Brother - Steve Bird (Jolene) of Michigan

1 Grandchild - Briana Bird of French Lick

5 Great grandchildren - Ryder, Addelynn, Axel, Serenity, & Gracelyn

Jerry was preceded in death by wife & mother.

Visitation will be from 5-8pm Saturday, October 23, at McAdams Mortuary. Funeral will be 2pm Sunday, October 24, at the funeral home. Bro. Chase King will be officiating. Burial will be at the Sulphur Creek Cemetery of Paoli. For condolences visit mcadamsmortuary.com
