John H. Kairchner Jr.

John H. Kairchner Jr., 93, of Highland, IN, passed away June 30, 2019 in Munster, IN. He was born February 24,1926 in Kokomo, IN, to parents, John H. Sr. & Lillian (Russell) Kairchner. He married Martha Jean Newlin May 10, 1947.  John was a US Navy Veteran and retired Operating Engineer of Union Local 150. He was also a woodworker.

Survivors include: Wife- Martha Jean Kairchner of Highland, IN

Daughters- Diana Taylor & husband, Wally of Hobart, IN & Sherry Remijan & husband, Jim of Yorktown, IN

Grandchildren- Monica Harder, Stephanie Szmuc, Julie Fabia & Mike Remijan

Great- Grandson- Zach Szmuc

John is preceded in death by: parents, sisters- Mildred Smelser, Mae Bennett, Helen Lape, Mary Ellen Robinson & Jackie Probus & brother- Phillip Kairchner.

Visitation will be from 10am-12pm Wednesday, July, 3 at McAdams Mortuary. Funeral will follow at 12pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Bro. Harvey McAdams will officiate. Burial will be in Paoli Community Cemetery.
