Juanita J. Kee

Juanita J. Kee age 84, of Paoli, passed away July 27, 2026 at Springs Valley Meadows of French Lick. She was born May 8, 1942 in Paint Lick, Kentucky, to parents, Kenneth and Maxine Kendrick.

She was united in marriage to Donald Jerry Kee on May 17, 1961. He preceded her in death, along with her parents; her grandson, Donnie Kee of Paoli; her brothers, Elmer Kendrick and Wayne Kendrick; and her sister, Gneva Baker.

She is survived by her son, Don (Cindy) Kee of Paoli; her daughter, Kathy (Greg) MacGeorge of Louisville, Kentucky; her grandson, Joseph “Joey” Kee and family of Springs Valley; her granddaughters, Shawn Willett and family of Springs Valley, Sara Patton and daughter of Paoli, and Amanda Patton of Carmel; eight great-grandchildren; her sisters, Lara Alice Banks, Linda Carrier, and Sue Cox; her brother, Floyd Kendrick; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Juanita began working at Throop Elementary School in 1978 as a dietary technician and cook. She prepared meals with love and brought smiles to generations of children in the community.

She was a member of Harned Chapel Church. Juanita enjoyed reading her Bible, watching Hallmark movies, especially during the Christmas season, and reading books, particularly those written by Diane Palmer.

She also enjoyed traveling throughout the region and neighboring states. Her adventures with family and friends took her to Branson, Nashville, the Biltmore Estate, Charleston, Hershey, and New York City.

Juanita will be remembered and missed by all whose lives she touched.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 1, at McAdams Mortuary. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service. Pastor Larry Mickler will officiate. Burial will follow in Harned Chapel Church Cemetery. Condolences may be shared at mcadamsmortuary.com.
