Kent A. Bishop

Kent A. Bishop, 62, of Paoli, passed away December 8, 2025 at Deaconess Memorial Hospital in Jasper. He was born, May 25 1963 in Salem, to parents Johney B. Bishop and Valera Lee (Thomes) Bishop . Kent married Melissa Lasley on December 15, 2020 and she survives.

Kent worked as a self-employed contractor for 30 years. He loved to ride his Harley, go hunting, and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Melissa Bishop of Paoli; Children, Jon "JT" Bishop (Miranda) of Orleans, Alysha Bostock (Israel) of Paoli & Justin Waddell of Texas; siblings, Conrad Bishop, Belinda Miller, Wendell Bishop, & Karen Schneider & grandchildren, Ruger Bostock, Rosslyn Bostock, Hayden Bostock, Landon Bishop, Nolan Bishop, Bella & Paisley Karnes.

Visitation for Kent A Bishop will be from 5-8pm Friday, December 12 at McAdams Mortuary. Funeral will be 1pm Saturday, December 13 at the funeral home, visitation before the service will begin at 10am. Burial will follow at Stampers Creek Cemetery. For condolences visit mcadamsmortuary.com.
