Larry Dee Key

Larry Dee Key, age 83, of Paoli, Indiana, passed away on June 3, 2026, at his son's home in Evansville, Indiana.

He was born on August 7, 1942, in Marengo, to Charlie Ellsworth Key and Eunice Cathryn (Stroud) Key. Larry married Paula Karen (McFall) Key, on August 8, 1964, and together they shared more than 61 years of marriage.

Larry retired from General Electric in Louisville, Kentucky, after 34½ years of dedicated service. He volunteered for the Southeast Fire Department for many years. Following his retirement, he worked for Riley's Wrecker Service, served as a maintenance man at Country Place Apartments, and was known for his home repair work and willingness to help others.

Larry was a member of the Crossroads Church of Christ, Central Church of Christ in Bedford, and Paoli Church of Christ. He also served as a Sojourner for the Church of Christ in Marshall, Texas, from 1998 to 2005.

Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, woodworking, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Paula Key of Paoli; one daughter, Kimberly Delph (Timothy) of Wasilla, Alaska; two sons, Kevin Key (Dawn) of McMinnville, Tennessee, and Keith Key (Jennifer) of Evansville; grandchildren, Timothy Delph (Mariah), Trent Key (Amanda), Lydia Stroud (Josh), Miranda Strong (Jesse), Hilary Key (Camron Moore), and Hayden Key (Anna Ireland); and great-grandchildren, Avery Delph, Adelyn Stroud, Delilah Stroud, Joshua Stroud, Camden Key, Charlie Key, and Connor Strong.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Phyllis Johnson.

The visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, and after 9:00 a.m. June 11, 2026 until funeral service time at McAdams Mortuary in Paoli.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at the funeral home with Trent Key and Kevin Key officiating. Burial will follow in Paoli Community Cemetery.
