Lonnie Mack Ratliff, 76, of Orleans, passed away on April 8 at his home. He was born on November 8, 1948, in Bedford to Mary Elizabeth (Meadows) Ratliff.
On July 28, 1972, Lonnie married Sarah Jane Kaiser, who survives. He was a 1966 graduate of Springs Valley High School.
Lonnie worked in several areas of sales throughout his career. After retirement, he enjoyed spending winters in Florida, listening to 1960s music, and cheering on IU basketball. He also dedicated many years to researching family ancestry, particularly the Meadows and Hawkins sides of his family.

Daughters: Lori (Ryan) Livingston of West Baden and Lisa (Darin) Roney of Boca Raton, FL
Grandchildren: Tanner Phillips of Mitchell, Tucker Phillips and Taelyn Phillips of West Baden, and Presley Roney of Boca Raton, FL
Lonnie was a proud “Paps” and dearly loved his grandchildren. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends, especially his brother-in-law Johnny Powell and high school classmates with whom he remained close.
He was preceded in death by his mother and his brothers, Butch and Carl Ratliff.
A graveside service will be held for Lonnie Ratliff at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 11, 2025, at Old Union United Methodist Church Cemetery in Orleans. McAdams Mortuary is entrusted with arrangements. For condolences, visit mcadamsmortuary.com.
