Maggie Ilene (Walls) Thacker

Maggie Ilene Thacker, 96, of Paoli, passed away June 7, 2021 at her home. She was born October 21, 1924 in Paoli, to parents, Elijah R. & Viola Belle (McDonald) Walls. She married Albert Thacker December 9, 1944. Maggie was a homemaker, avid gardener and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Primitive Baptist Church of Millersburg.

Survivors include:

Daughter- Roanna Tower (Gary) of Milltown

Sons- Ronald Thacker (Vicki) & Gary Thacker (Wilma) all of Paoli

Niece- Lois Barley of Indianapolis

Grandchildren- Christopher Thacker, Jesse Free, Warren Free, Troy Thacker, Joshua Tower, Holly Thacker, Ryan Barley & Aaron Barley

Great Grandchildren- Hannah Underhill, Caleb Free, Keaton Thacker, Audrey Barley

Great Great Grandchild- Riley McCabe

Maggie is preceded in death by: parents, husband, daughter- Bonnie Lou Free, grandchildren- Marilyn D. & Derrick L. Thacker & Todd Free; brothers- Oscar, Roscoe Nolan & Lester Ray Walls and sisters- Hallie Peterson, Lola Madley, Clara Knight, Lillie Phillips & Elsie Corbett.

Visitation will be from 4-8pm Thursday, June 10 at McAdams Mortuary. Funeral will be 1pm Friday, June 11 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Patoka Chapel Cemetery of English. For condolences visit mcadamsmortuary.com.
