Margaret Ann Free

Margaret Ann Free, age 78 of Orleans, passed away on December 28, 2025 at Baptist Health Hospital in Louisville. She was born on June 6, 1947 in Orleans to Bert and Hazel Brim. Margaret married Jim Bob Free on November 10, 1967. She was of the Christian faith and for years attended South Liberty Church of Christ in Palmyra. She was retired from Ben Franklin Crafts. Margaret loved spending time crafting, knitting, quilting, and crocheting.

She is survived by her sons, Max Free of Pekin and Bret Free of New Albany; grandchild, Nathaniel Free (Lexie) of Palmyra, and brother, Lennie Ross Brim of Florida.

Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, husband and siblings, Lee Jones, Barbara Brown, Susie Brim, and Elaine Walt.

The visitation for Margaret Ann Free will be held on Monday, January 5, 2026 from 11 am - 1 pm at McAdams Mortuary. The funeral will follow at 1 pm at the funeral home.
