Monty G. Newlin

Monty G. Newlin, age 88 of Paoli, passed away on November 7, 2023 at IU Health Hospice House in Bloomington. He was born on September 29, 1935 in Paoli to parents Roy Clarence Newlin & Leila Mae (Dugger) Newlin. He married Martha A. Moyer May 26, 1990 and preceded him in death March 7, 2008.

Monty proudly served in the United States Army. Later,  he became the owner and operator of Newlin Furniture formerly of Paoli. In the 1950s,he dabbled in automotive technology and patented an automatic car starter and later a travel toothbrush. Monty attended the Orleans Wesleyan Church.

Son: Jon Michael Newlin

Companion of 15 years: Priscilla Marsh

He was preceded in death by his infant siblings: Delores Ann Newlin & Gary Winston; sister: Sherry Clouse & brother: Richard "Duke" Newlin
