Nanette Louise Barnett

Nanette Louise Barnett, 78, of Paoli, passed away October 17, 2026, at IU Health Bloomington.

She was born September 26, 1948, in French Lick to Elvis Wilson and Helen Morris Wilson. She married Gary N. Barnett on June 6, 1970.

Nanette enjoyed helping others. She was a qualified medical assistant and had worked at Orange County Hospital in Paoli. She loved her family and being a grandma.

She is survived by her husband, Gary N. Barnett of Paoli; daughter, Melissa Strange (Scotty) of Paoli; grandchildren, Scott Alan Strange (Nicole) and Garrett Strange (Morgan); great-grandchildren, Hayden Strange, Clara Strange, and Saylor Strange; sister, Diana Jones of West Baden; and brother, Larry Joe Wilson of French Lick.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Nancy Wilson, Marie Wilson, Mary Wilson and Margaret Brown; and brothers, Paul Wilson and Bobby Wilson.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 21, at 1 p.m. at McAdams Mortuary. Burial will follow at Paoli Community Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the time of service at McAdams Mortuary.
