With love and deep remembrance, we honor the lives of Noel Lashbrooks and his wife, Loretta Lashbrooks, who shared a beautiful life together for 66 years.
Noel Lashbrooks, 91, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2024. A U.S. Air Force veteran, he and his brother, Paul Apple, owned the Northside Body Shop for over 50 years. For 44 years, he also drove a school bus for Paoli Community Schools. A devoted NASCAR fan and a natural athlete, Noel enjoyed baseball, basketball, water skiing, bowling, fishing, and golfing. His golfing buddies were more than friends–they became extended family.
Just over a year later, on April 20, 2025, Loretta Lashbrooks, 84, joined him. Loretta worked as an optometric assistant before opening her own accounting and tax service for 20 years, She was also a talented seamstress and crafter, lovingly creating prom dresses and keepsakes for her daughters. Loretta also devoted countless hours to researching the family’s genealogy, preserving its history for future generations.
Married for 66 years, Noel and Loretta were true partners in life and treasured their time spent with family and friends. Their legacy continues through their daughters, Nola (Drew) Taylor and Penny (Bill) Jackson, as well as their beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In accordance with their wishes, no services will be held. The family honors their wishes and celebrates their lives privately, holding close the many cherished memories.
