Robert "Rocky" Owen

Robert “Rocky” Owen, age 81, of Huntingburg, passed away on October 15, 2025. He was born on October 14, 1944, in Washington, to parents William P. and Frieda M. (Cannon) Owen.

Rocky married Diana M. Owen on August 28, 1998. He retired from MasterBrand Cabinet Company in Ferdinand and attended the Huntingburg Nazarene Church. Rocky enjoyed deer hunting, computers, and the outdoors. He especially loved the country mountains and traveling. Over the years, he held several jobs and took great pride in his work, including upholstering four chairs in 1971 that went to the White House. He also wanted to thank his friends and neighbors for what they’ve meant to him throughout his life.

Survivors include his wife, Diana Owen of Huntingburg; daughter, Scarlett Duke (Michael) of Paoli; son, Theron Robert Owen (Kimberly) of Paoli; stepdaughters, Melissa Rives of Carthage, MS, and Tammy Conkle of Huntingburg; grandchildren, Josh Duke, Autumn Baker (Taylor), Dustin Conkle, and Tyler Simmons (Courtney); great-grandchildren, Austin Duke, Berkley Duke, Cameron Duke, Robert Duke, Baylin Baker, Chase Baker, Delaney Baker, Deslyn, Luella, Colby, Preston, and Carson; sisters, Judy Chandler of Riley and Ellen Chapman of Birdseye; sister-in-law, Bev Owen of Mitchell; best friend, Jim Lawrence of Huntingburg; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Ron Owen, and brother-in-law, Terry Chandler.

Visitation for Robert “Rocky” Owen will be from 3–7 PM Sunday, October 19, at McAdams Mortuary. The funeral will be on Monday, October 20, at 1 PM at the funeral home with Bro.
