Ruth A. Andis

Ruth A. Andis, 85, of Paoli, passed away January 8, 2026 at Cedar Creek of Bedford. She was born November 20, 1940 in Vincennes to parents, Harold V & Lanora M. (Karnes) McClean. She married Jesse A. Andis June 30, 1990 and he preceded her in death March 5, 2017.

Ruth was retired from Kimballs of French Lick and she worked at Save-A-Lot for several years. She was a member of Syria Christian Church and Paoli VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Ruth had a giving heart and a natural way of caring for others.

Daughters- Debbie Wilson (Steve), Lynn Chowning, Sherri Patton (Richie) & Sandy Padgett (Fred) of Paoli; grandchildren- Ben Wilson (Lindsay), Emily Clark (Matthew), Brian Wilson (Mekenna), Sarah Williamson, Stacy Tackett (Josh), Matthew Warner (Taylor), Dalton Chowning (Brianna), Jennifer Patton, Greg Couch (Samantha), Amanda White (Andy), Ryan Jessie (Nikki), Elizabeth Jessie and Alyssa Vaughan (Steven); great- grandchildren- Logan & Caleb Wilson, Jax, Ellis & Brynne Wilson, Haleigh & Olivia Williamson, Jordan Tackett, Cullen, Brinley, Amelia & Deagen Warner, Ellie Chowning, Kahlia Patton, Draken & Norah Couch, Abigail & Ayden White, Tyler & Cameron Jessie & Ellie Vaughan. Daughter-n-law Rhonda Jessie; sister- Carol Cooper and half-sister- Pat Buford and her beloved dog, Daisy Mae.

She is preceded in death by: parents, husband, son- Randy Jessie & sister- Dorothy Payton.

Visitation for Ruth Andis will be Tuesday January 13 from 4 to 7:30pm at McAdams Mortuary. The funeral will be 1pm Wednesday January 14. Bros. Jimmy Johnson & Rob Brown will officiate and burial will be in Paoli Community Cemetery.
