Simeon Chester Halbert

Simeon Chester Halbert, age 67 of Bedford, passed away October 10, 2026 at Majestic Care in Bedford, IN. He was born on October 26, 1958 in Salem to Irvin Edward and Helen Frances (Dillon) Halbert. 

Survivors include: sister, Marilyn Bobbitt of Lakeville, MA, Lydia Edington (Steve) of Lincoln, KA, Esther Wilson (Mark) of Hardinsburg, and Elva Hann (Dave) of Tulsa, OK; brothers, John Halbert of Corydon, IN, Sam Halbert (Vinnie) of Orleans, Seth Halbert (Nancy) of Roy, WA, Silas Halbert (Jannie) of Nooksack, WA, Philip Halbert of Hardinsburg, and Herbert Halbert (Thersa) of Paoli; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, Irvin and Helen Halbert; sister, Olive Marie Purdy; nephews, Irvin Palmer and Nathanael Bobbitt; brother-in-laws, Paul Bobbitt and Les Palmer.
