Stephen C. Byfield

Stephen C. Byfield, age 74, of Paoli, passed away on August 8, 2022, at his home. He was born May 4, 1948, in Winamac, IN to parents Charles Franklin & Nancy Marie (Hathaway) Byfield.  Stephen married Nancy Ellen Wheeler on March 20, 1976. He graduated from Purdue University College of Pharmacy and worked as a pharmacist for 38 years at CVS. Stephen attended the Paoli United Methodist Church and was a member of the church choir. He played French horn in the Crawford County Community Band. He has also performed in Orange County Player's Madrigal production.

Daughters: Beth Byfield of Paoli & Brandt Wamsley (Sam) of Memphis

Grandchildren: Ezra & Caddie Wamsley

Siblings: Richard Byfield, Gary Byfield, Barbara (Scot) Van Horn, & Chuck Byfield

Stephen is preceded in death by his father, Charles, and wife, Nancy Byfield.

The visitation for Stephen C. Byfield will be Friday, August 12, from 5-7 pm and Saturday  August 13 from 12-1pm both at the Paoli United Methodist Church. The funeral will be Saturday, August 13, at 1 pm at the church. Burial will be at the Paoli Community Cemetery.  Howard Detweiler will officiate the services. For condolences visit mcadamsmortuary.com
