Wanda Carol Rice

Wanda Carol Rice, age 81 of Paoli, passed away on August 31, 2025 at her home. She was born on January 14, 1944 in Springfield, IL to Emmerson & Zelma (Osborne) Newby. On November 16, 1963 she married Lewis Rice, who preceded her in death on June 15, 2023. Wanda was retired from Milin Wood Factory formerly of Paoli. She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy of New Salisbury. 

Survivors include: her daughters, Paula Byrn (Edward) of Greenville, Lisa Dunaway of Corydon, & Becky Rice of Paoli; sons, Lewis Rice Jr. of Paoli, Matthew Rice of Corydon; 13 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; 9 great great-grandchildren; siblings- Kathryn Norman, Phyllis Fearey (Bob); Larry Newby & James Newby (Kimberly Kaye) all of Salem. 

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jeanette Reichel & brother, Gene Giles.

The visitation for Wanda Carol Rice will be held on Sunday, September 7, 2025 from 4-7pm at McAdams Mortuary. The funeral will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025 at 1pm at the funeral home. Bro.
