Clyde W. Chastain

Clyde W. Chastain, 91, of Paoli passed away March 11, 2022 at his home. He was born April 26, 1930 in French Lick to parents, Bill & Pearl (Gillum) Chastain. Clyde married Patty Longest on October 10, 1951. He was a US Army Korean War Veteran and recipient of two bronze stars and a Purple Heart. He was retired from the United States Postal Service. Clyde was a lifelong member of the Paoli VFW, 50 year member of Masonic Lodge #119 & Scottish Rite; a Shriner for 48 years and a member of Paoli Christian Church. 

He is survived by: 

Sons- Terry Chastain & wife, Marieta of Mitchell; Randy Chastain of Paoli; Kim Chastain & wife, Janet of Paoli & David Chastain of Paoli

Clyde is preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers- Duane & Bennie Chastain & sisters- Joyce Jones & Marie Doan. Visitation will be from 11 am-1 pm Tuesday, March 15 at McAdams Mortuary. Funeral will follow Tuesday at 1pm at the funeral home. Bro. Phil LaMaster & Bro. Gary Swick will officiate. Burial will be in Paoli Community Cemetery.
