Don Strange Obituary

Don Franklin Strange, 70, passed away October 16, 2019 at his home in Marengo. He was born January 4, 1949 in Paoli.

Don was a 1967 graduate of Paoli High School, and moved to Marengo in 1976. He owned a small business called "The Vac Shack" for several years, then started working for Starkey Labs selling hearing aids. He was an avid gun and knife enthusiast, and loved to go to the local shooting matches. We think he was best known as a school bus driver. He drove bus #9 for Crawford County Community School Corporation since 1981. He was forced to retire earlier this year due to health conditions.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Franklin "Frank" Strange & Hazel Louise (Williams) Pluris & two uncles & two aunts.

He is survived by Aunts- Ann Apple of Paoli & Carolyn Dalton of Orleans; his brother, Louis Strange & Linda of Paoli;  son, Danny Strange & Kim of Virginia Beach , VA;  daughters, Kandy Wilson & Dickey of Eckerty & Charity Strange of Evansville; five step-grandchildren & three step-great-grandchildren, and long-time companion and best friend, Lanie King of Marengo.

Don has elected to not have any public services upon his passing. Cremation was chosen. McAdams Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
