Fern (Trinkle) Busick

In loving memory of Fern (Trinkle) Free-Busick, age 97, formerly of Paoli, passed away peacefully at Paoli Health & Living Community on March 13, 2024. She was born on July 9th, 1926 near Valeene to Benjamin and Maudie (Longest) Trinkle. Fern worked for Cornwell Co. formerly of Paoli then left there to work in the local grocery stores in Valeene. She attended Harned Chapel Church. She loved camping and crocheting and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Fern is survived by a daughter - Sharon (Stephen) Stroud & daughter-in-law - Margaret Free. 4 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. One brother - Elza (Rosemary) Trinkle. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands - Owen A. Free & second husband - Paul E. Busick. Brothers - Escoe, Clifford, Dennie, Carrell, Porter, & Glen Trinkle. Sisters - Ermal Smith, Grace Free, & Eunice Holaday. One son - Jimmy B. Free.

The visitation for Fern Busick will be held on Sunday, March 17, 2024 from 11am - 2:30 pm at McAdams Mortuary. The funeral will follow at 2:30 pm at the funeral home. Son-in-law, Bro. Stephen Stroud, will officiate along with Bro. Paul Richardson. Burial will be in the Valeene Cemetery. For condolences visit mcadamsmortuary.com
