Gertrude E. (Luhr) Rieck

Gertrude E. Rieck age 91, of Paoli passed away May 29, 2020 at Paoli Health and Living Community. She was born September 24, 1928 in Leipzig, Germany to parents, Bertha Elisabeth & Julius Paul Fritz Luhr. She married Johannes Rieck September 23, 1950. Gertrude was retired cafeteria worker for Paoli Community Schools. She also had worked as a furniture inspector at Britney Furniture formerly of Paoli, employee of Kroger grocery and as a street car driver in Germany. She was a member of Valeene Wesleyan Church where she taught Sunday school and played the organ for many years. She also attended the Paoli Christian Church. She enjoyed playing piano for the residents at the nursing home, she also loved reading and classical music.

Grandchildren: Gordon, Elkin, Maren & Morgan Rieck

She is preceded in death by parents, husband & siblings: Ruldolph, Helga Thea & Fritz Luhr.

A private graveside service will be held. McAdams Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
