Howard Harvey Sarles

Howard Sarles Sr. passed away at the age of 95 on Sunday, July 25th, 2021 at home.  He was born in English on August 21st, 1925 to Raymond Edward Sarles Sr. and Thelma Irene (Longest) Sarles.  On October 30, 1954, Howard was united in marriage with the love of his life Rosemary (Walk) Sarles in corpus Christi, Texas.  Howard had worked in the Selfridge air force base, and was also a truck driver.  

He enjoyed growing his sunflowers, riding his bike, working on cars, and spending time with his beloved family.  One of Howard’s fondest memories was driving all around the country with his sons in his truck old ‘Goose’.   

He is survived by his children Howard Sarles Jr., Lisa (Mike) Thibodeau, Don (Margaret) Seitz, Dale (Pat) Sarles; grandchildren James (Katie) Sarles, Bryan (Natalya) Sarles, Thomas (Sara) Sarles, April Smith, Brandon Monteleone, Rachel Thibodeau, Greg Seitz, Brenda (Mike) Palmer, Cheryl Jamroz; and 12 great grandchildren.  Howard is predeceased by his wife Rosemary Sarles, parents Raymond Edward Sarles Sr., and Thelma Irene (Longest) Sarles, siblings Raymond Sarles Jr., Harold Sarles, daughter Tracy, and son Eddy, and granddaughter Nicole Thibodeau.  

Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 1, 2021 from 3:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m. at the Will and Schwarzkoff Funeral Home, 233 Northbound Gratiot Ave., Mount Clemens, MI

A graveside service with, military honors will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 3, at Union Chapel Cemetery, 8695 Union Chapel Road Southeast, Milltown, Indiana 47145. McAdams Mortuary is in charge of local arrangements. For condolences visit mcadamsmortuary.com.
