Jack R Daugherty

Jack R. Daugherty, 81 of Orleans, passed away January 20 at Paoli Health and Living Community. He was Born March 7, 1939 in Pennington Gap, VA to parents, Samuel Ray & Jeanette (Campbell) Daugherty. He married Donna Kerby, April 12, 1974. Jack was a U.S. Army Veteran and member of Mitchell American Legion Post #250. He was a retired operator for Orange County Highway Department, but for many years since Jack had been driving a Dump Truck for Flynn and Sons of Bedford.

Survivors include:

Wife- Donna Daugherty of Orleans

Sons- Shannon Daugherty of Mitchell & Timothy Scott Daugherty of Valeene

Daughter- Amy Britt of Oak Island, NC

6 Grandchildren

1 Great Grandchild

Brothers- Marvin Daugherty of Paoli, Brad Daugherty of Paoli & Glen Daugherty of Madison

Sisters- Nancy Reynolds of Orleans & Gloria Anderson of Bedford

Jack is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Melvin Daugherty, sister, Geraldine Nodine and Son, Anthony Wayne Daugherty.  

Visitation will be from 2-4pm Saturday, January 23 at McAdams Mortuary. Funeral will follow at 4pm at the funeral home. Bro. Mike Eads will officiate. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made for funeral expenses to McAdams Mortuary 500 SW First St., Paoli, IN 47454. McAdams Mortuary is following CDC guidelines regarding the Coronavirus pandemic. Attendance will be limited to 25 guests at a time. Guests are required to wear masks and practice social distancing (6 ft). If you are showing symptoms of illness (fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting or diarrhea) please do not attend.
