Lester J New

Lester J. New, age 73, passed away June 3, 2022, at IU Health Paoli Hospital. He was born September 16, 1948, to parents Gilbert and Martha (Britton) New. Lester married Barbara Rose (LaRoche) New on December 12, 1970. He was a Veteran of the National Guard. Lester was retired from Ameren CIPS (Central Illinois Public Service) where he was a journeyman lineman. He was a member of the IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers). 

Survivors include:

Wife: Barbara R. New of Paoli, IN

Daughter: Julia Marie New of Lawrenceville, IL

Son: Christopher Scott New of Indianapolis, IN

He was preceded in death by his brother Stephen New.

The visitation for Lester J. New will be Monday, June 6, from 4-7 pm at McAdams Mortuary. The funeral will be Tuesday, June 7 at 11 am at the funeral home.
