Lois (Whalin) Babcock

Lois Babcock of Paoli passed away October 22, 2019 at Paoli Health and Living Community at the age of 87. She was born June 21, 1932 in Mitchell, IN to parents, James Blaine Whalin Sr. & Nannie Lorene (Holland) Whalin. She married Herbert L. Babcock on December 7, 1975. Lois was 1950 graduate of Orleans High School. She was a retired secretary for Carpet Warehouse formerly of Paoli. She was a member of the Valeene Christian Church and an inactive member of the Upsilon Chapter of Phi Beta Psi.

She is survived by: Daughters- Jannalyn Jones and husband, Larry of Paoli & Melinda "Mindy" J. Simler and husband, Steve of Central

Sisters- Jessie Whalin of Orleans; Carolyn Blumenauer of Zebulon, NC & Patricia Bair of Nampa, ID

Brothers-  J.B. Whalin Jr., Robert Whalin & Bill Whalin all of Orleans

Grandchildren- Autumn McDonald and husband, David; Morgan Jones & wife, Abby; Michael Simler, Andrew Simler & wife, Ashton

Great-Grandchildren- Charleigh, Camryn, Chayse & Cruze McDonald & Atlee, Adaline & Baby Jones on the way, & Colt Simler

Lois is preceded in death by: parents, husband & brother- Wayne Whalin.

Visitation will be from 4-8pm Thursday, October 24 at McAdams Mortuary. Funeral will be 1pm Friday, October 25 at the funeral home. Bro Harvey McAdams will officiate. Burial will be in Paoli Community Cemetery.
