Marilyn (Hill) Qualkenbush

August 25, 1933 — March 11, 2024

Marilyn Hill Qualkenbush, 90, formerly of Paoli, passed away on March 11, 2024 surrounded by
her four daughters, at Scenic Hills Nursing Home of Ferdinand. Marilyn was born Aug 25, 1933,
in Great Falls, MT to Clifford F. & Etta Mary (McDonell) Hill. After their passing, she was
raised in West Baden by Bob and Jessie Dickey (both deceased). She married Arnold G.
Qualkenbush on March 28, 1952. Marilyn was a long-time resident of Orange County. She
graduated from West Baden High School, and received her undergraduate degree from Indiana State
University, and her master's in education from Indiana University. She was a teacher at Paoli
Community Schools for 32 years. She was a member of Paoli United Methodist Church. In her
retirement, she and her late husband Arnold enjoyed traveling in their RV. She loved growing
flowers and plants and walking in nature. Her greatest joys were sewing, quilting, spending time
with her family, and watching her grand & great grandkids play.

She was preceded in death by Arnold her husband of 64 years, sister- Roberta Dickey Werling,
sister-in-law Rosemary Bennett.
Survivors include one sister Ruth Dickey Marshall of West Baden, two nieces and 2 nephews,
sisters-in-law: Deanna Pendley and Phyllis Scott, one brother-in-law D.E. Qualkenbush, four
daughters: Lesa Farlow (Greg), of Ponca City OK, and Cheri Clary (Mitch) of Toccoa GA, and
Etta Begle (Jim) of Mariah Hill, and Marla Richardson (Jerry) of Dayton OH. Marilyn was the
grandmother of Kevin Clary, Nathan Clary, Brittany Hill, Shelby Beaird, Greta Kubik, Ethan
Begle, Clayton Begle, and twelve great-grandchildren.

Cremation was chosen. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by McAdams Mortuary.
