Mary Ruth (Hagemier) Akers

Mary Ruth Akers, 92, of French Lick, passed away January 28 at St. Charles Health Campus of Jasper. She was born October 23, 1928 in Tulsa, OK to parents, Charles Oscar Hagemier & America Bell (Murphy) Hagemier. She married Charles W. Akers on June 6, 1953. Mary Ruth was a homemaker and member of the Christian faith. She attended Springs Valley Wesleyan Church.

Survivors include:

Son- Rick Akers and wife, Carma of Huntingburg

Grandchildren- Lisa Lett, Lori Goodpaster & Lee Akers

Several great-grandchildren & great-great-grandchildren

Brother- Robert Hagemier of Camby, IN

\Visitation will be from 11am-1pm Saturday, January 30 at McAdams Mortuary. Funeral will follow at 1pm. Bro John Moffatt & Bro Harvey McAdams will officiate. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery of Orleans. McAdams Mortuary is following CDC guidelines regarding the Coronavirus pandemic. Guests are required to wear masks and practice social distancing (6 ft). If you are showing symptoms of illness (fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting or diarrhea) please do not attend.
