Bro. Morris Vernon Larimore of Marengo, son of Late Delmer E. Larimore and Lottie (Wright) Larimore was born on October 27, 1934 in Greensburg, KY, and went home to be with the Lord on September 28, 2021. Morris had made a profession of faith in Christ at a very early age and was baptized in Green River, KY.
He served as pastor of the Christian’s Missionary Church of Carefree for 17 years, served 24 years at New Salisbury, and 13 years at Marengo, spanning 54 years in the ministry. Along with his pastoral work, he was a supervisor at Smith Cabinet/ Childcraft Manufacturing of Salem for 40 years.
Morris enjoyed new construction and had excitement of building something new. He had a great love for nature, wildlife, and his animals.
Morris is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Elda Allen and brother, Edward Larimore.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years Mary Anita Harper Larimore; sons, Vernon Wayne Larimore (Debby) and Mike Larimore (Pam) all of Marengo; three sisters, Frances Free of Valeene, Bernice Bennett of Floyd Knobs, and Rachel Hamman of Paoli; Grandchildren: Jennifer Wagner (Aaron), Chad Larimore (Amanda), Kaci Hendricks (Jeremy), Stephanie Rhoads (Michael), and Dylan Larimore; Great Grandchildren: Ashlynn Larimore, Emma Hendricks, Leopold Wagner, Garrett Hendricks, Mattaeus Wagner, Olivia Rhoads, and Owen Rhoads.
Visitation will be from 4-7pm Thursday, September 30 at Christian's Missionary Church of Carefree, and from 10am-1pm Friday. Funeral will be 1pm Friday, October 1 at the Church. Rev.
